Creative Photography Workshops

that give you the confidence to experiment

with new ways of seeing and making photographs.

Tree branches with budding green leaves against a clear blue sky.

In a world that is constantly vying for our attention, it can sometimes feel like there are fewer spaces to take time to pause, notice, appreciate and reflect on what is around us in the here and now.

Through exploring different themes, ideas and questions, in these workshops you are invited to adopt a playful and curious mindset.

To experiment. To be open. To be you.

The workshops are designed to spark a change in how you choose to take photographs.

Through structured activities, you are supported to build and expand your visual literacy skills.

This allows you to be able to make more conscious choices when photographing in the environment around you, enabling you to fully express yourself through your camera.

Tap into your imagination and intuition

Equally important is the opportunity to work alongside others.  Allowing you to connect, reflect and share the process.

“Great workshop Becky!  You've shown that even 'just' at home, there is so much to inspire creativity, and help me to look differently at the 'everyday'.  Everyone's photos were amazing - thanks for sharing. Thank you so much Becky - great fun, as always :-)”

Jess, Year 10 student, Ellis Guildford School

“Hi, I was one of the Year 10 Photography students that was taking pictures of the competition in London, and I just really felt the need to tell you that I had an unbelievable amount of fun that day and I learned so much from you, my GCSE coursework has massively improved since that day because of what you taught me so I really just have to say thank you so much!! It was so awesome meeting you and being taught by you and you’re such an inspiration to me :) that day was definitely a highlight of the year.””

You do not need to own any specialist equipment or have any technical knowledge, just a desire to get stuck in.

Workshops are normally delivered through organisations and schools, and are suitable for any age from 10 years plus.

“During the workshops, Becky instigated meaningful discussions between carers and facilitated creative photography-related activities. Becky was welcoming, encouraging, and eager to address any incoming questions posed by the carers in a thoughtful manner.

Becky’s positive attitude and professionalism made her a pleasure to work with and we would wholeheartedly recommend her.”
